Pure Sky Rooflights supply only flat rooflights

Installation Guide

Your new Pure Sky rooflight comes fully assembled ready for installation.

To ensure the delivery and your installation runs smoothly, here’s some instructions to make the process run smoothly.

Before delivery

1. Ensure that your upstand is prepared and weatherproofed.

2. Check the weight of your Pure Sky rooflight to ensure you will have sufficient lifting capabilities. Where lifting manually, we advise to allow for 30Kgs per person

3. If storing the Pure Sky rooflight, ensure you have sufficient space. The rooflight can be stored in a vertical or horizontal position

On your delivery day

Your Pure Sky rooflight will be delivered on our own dedicated transport (unless otherwise advised) providing a kerb side delivery. Our driver will position their vehicle as close as possible to the delivery address and unload your rooflight onto the kerb side.

If you have chosen our Spider crane & operator service, we will lift your rooflight into position for your installer to fit.

Installation

1. Remove all packing. Your packaging will also contain infill trims, keep these to one side (you’ll need these later).

2. Remove the retaining screws on the side of the Pure Sky rooflight so that you can lift the rooflight from its packaging frame.

3. Using a high quality neutral cure silicone, apply an 8mm wide bead along the middle part of your prepared upstand.

4. Lift the Pure Sky rooflight onto the upstand ensuring that it sits evenly around the upstand.

5. If your rooflight is over 2200mm, we recommend side fixing the frame to your upstand. Drill a 5mm hole and use a screw to secure into position.

6. Attach the infill trims using a rubber mallet. Avoid using anything metal as this will damage the trim and powder coating.

Your Pure Sky rooflight is now fully installed and just needs a final clean for you to enjoy the benefits of bringing natural light into your home.
